The Flap Bag has a storied history: it was first debuted by Gabrielle “Coco†Chanel in the ’50s and then later re-envisioned by Karl Lagerfeld in the ’80s. In 2005, Lagerfeld rereleased Coco’s original 2.55 design as the Reissue (2.55 refers to the month and year—February 1955—of Coco’s original design).
